About Campus Reps

Kaplan is looking for enthusiastic and well-connected students who wish to build their resume by working for an amazing company. Below are the answers to some important questions about the Rep program.

Q: What does a campus representative do?

A: Campus representatives (reps), or brand ambassadors, play an integral role in building Kaplan’s brand at college campuses. Reps gain valuable grassroots marketing, event planning and project management experience on a weekly basis. The goal is to build awareness for Kaplan and its products and to share information with peers. The rep job is structured and ideal for undergraduate student leaders who are looking to add a great company to build their resume. All we ask for is a lot of initiative, creativity and between 6-10 hours per week. Click here to meet some of our current and past college reps.

Q: What qualities is Kaplan looking for in campus reps?

A: There are multiple characteristics that make up a Kaplan Campus Rep. We want someone who wishes to enhance their college experience, likes people, loves to think creatively and who seeks more than a traditional internship and campus job. We look for student leaders who want to develop – those people who are actively involved with 1, 2 or more on-campus student organizations. The people who know how important extracurricular activities and professional experience are to your future leadership and success, those who are organized, reliable, and have their fingers on the pulse of campus.

Q: What are the incentives for being a campus rep?

A: In addition to building upon your college experience and possibly becoming more popular than you already are…you will get the following for completing 2 semesters as a Kaplan campus representative:

  • Paid on an hourly basis, with bonus potential
  • A free Kaplan course
  • A trendy Kaplan polo and branded messenger bag

Q: What is the day in the life of a Kaplan Campus Brand Ambassador like?

A: Campus Brand Ambassadors are mentored by and receive weekly/monthly guidance from the Local Kaplan Center, nearest to their university. Q: My school is not currently on the list of available universities. Can I still be a rep?

A: Please select ‘Other’ and list your campus, when you apply. We will follow up with you if we are looking to hire at your university.

Q: Are there specific majors that Kaplan is looking for?

A: We are looking more for specific characteristics in candidates than specific majors. Click here to learn what qualities Kaplan is looking for in its brand reps.

Q: Will I work at different colleges?

A: In a few cases, where available, student reps will be asked to learn about other local campuses by visiting them. It’s a great opportunity to understand the nuances of different college campuses.
